This cozy little folded brim cable knit beanie is full of twisty texture on top of a purl stitch background. I had so much fun designing this one and I found the design to be very fluid and calming to look at, hence the name the ‘Daydreamer Beanie’.

Most of the cable stitches are a 2/1 cross, which incorporates both knit and purl stitches in the cable combo. I have included video links demonstrating the cable stitches required and for the two decrease stitches at the crown. Most of the pattern instructions are in written form, but I have also included a chart version for the body of the hat if you prefer.

One last thing: These instructions are written for two colors of yarn with the yarn change at the end of the brim rounds. When choosing colors, I like to pair a solid color for the textured body of the hat and a complimenting variegated color for the brim. But you can even use two skeins of the same color too for a more solid look.
