Dead Frog Chalk Bag
This pattern requires unusual supplies and possibly some DIY work. Please consider the following before purchasing:
-
There is a plastic tube/straw part that I 3D printed which is very important for the drawstring. I have provided the free print file but if that isn’t suitable for you, a DIY version is easily doable.
-
I used a thick cable tie for the rim of the bag to resist the pull off the drawstring. This is also important and can also be substituted.
It is also worth noting there is a bit of sewing involved as well. Machine and hand sewing…
If you’re anything like me, you can’t help but commit entirely and absolutely to the absolute dumbest of ideas… And so here I bring you my Dead Frog Drawstring Bag crochet pattern!
I created this masterpiece as a chalkbag for rockclimbing so that I could turn the drawstring scrunch into a butthole to plunge my sweaty hand into. Maybe I’m a genius, or perhaps I’m just lonely. We’ll never know (it’s both).
But it can be used for all sorts of purposes.
Go as little or as far into this process as you want but this file provides the entire process including how I measured and sewed the lining itself. And also fitting the drawstring.
The 3D print file link is in the pattern but I will share here as well:
