The ponytail - or “messy bun” - hat is in style this season, and they work up so easily! Why not give the December Ponytail Hat a try? If you like it, check out its counterpart, the December Hat, part of the 2016 Sunshine Charlotte Hat CAL.

The brim of this hat is worked in rows to create a stretchy ribbing. From there, you’ll work in rounds, using the fpdc to create the textured ribbing up the hat. Well-placed, hard-to-find decreases narrow this hat toward the top, but don’t close it all the way! You’ll finish off with a round of sc and chain spaces to create a drawstring effect. Slip this hat on, pull your hair through the top, and tighten the drawstring to keep your head warm without messing up your up-do!
