This intermediate beanie is great for those that love a little color work with a bohemian feel. Use whatever colors you like to create a hat that can be chic, boho or casual.

You will be using two yarns on most rows. The row will be split into color blocks. Both yarns will be carried along the row. The method I use: insert needle into stitch. Take idle yarn and drape it across the working yarn moving back to front, knit the stitch. Before inserting needle into next stitch, drape idle yarn over working yarn by moving toward the back. Alternate this with each stitch. You can also create floats or twist the working yarn so it comes up under the idle yarn.

The stitch pattern is in multiple of 6 stitches + 3. Feel free to play with the size of the color blocks to make them longer, shorter, more narrow or wider.

For less texture, knit the purl rows.
