DECORA MKAL
Decora is a mystery shawl in four different parts with one clue released each week over a months time. It involves a few different techniques, all simple enough for an advanced beginner or intermediate knitter, while at the same time offering some fun for advanced knitters. If you have knit my patterns before, this MKAL will offer both familiar elements and some more unusual ones.

YARN
Lisa Linkvarn merino silk (fingering, 400 m/100g), 75% merino, 25% silk:
Colour A: 2 skeins (200g) white
Colour B: 0.5 skein (50g) green
Colour C: 0.5 skein (50g) black.
Test shawl used 179g white, 28g green and 25g black.

THE YARN
Decora is written for a beautiful, soft and shiny merino silk yarn hand-dyed by Swedish dyer Lisa Linkvarn. Lisa has an awesome concept, the Yarn Van (garnbilen.nu), where she has a mobile yarn store in a white van in which she travels the country and stops wherever there are knitters or knitting groups in need of some gorgeous yarn. Lisa has dyed yarn specifically for this MKAL and kits can be ordered through her website, https://www.lisalinkvarn.se/butik/.

CHECKING CONTRAST
To make sure you have enough contrast between your three colours, place the three skeins next to each other and take a photo with your phone. Then make the photo black and white (reduce saturation to 0 or use a B/W option). The three colours should be easy to separate in the grey scale, otherwise they will blend and not show properly.
