Decorative Hand Towels
This pattern measures an approximate 27” x 17” after construction. The 100% cotton fiber makes it fully functional. The Dip down Herringbone HDC stitch produces a compact texture that does not mar the back side of the hand towel. This makes it perfect for display in any room of your house. Both variations come with written instructions. A fully expandable graph is included for the decorative version. The Herringbone HDC is worked one side only to maintain the look and texture of the towel.
This design uses an approximate 750 yards of cotton dk yarn, but it is a good idea to construct a 4x4 swatch to confirm gauge.
Tutorials covering Mosaic technique, working tassels into the fringe, blocking, and the Herringbone Half Double crochet stitch can be found on my YouTube channel for those in need of additional guidance. All techniques are covered in the written portion of this pattern.
