Triangles of varying sizes radiate out from the center of this neckerchief resembling the rays of the sun – del sol. The kerchief is just a small scale shawl, making it a quick knit and a versatile accessory. Knit in cotton yarn it is perfect as a warm weather accessory for cool evenings or chilly air conditioning. Knit with wool yarn and worn close around the neck as a cowl, it provides warmth without bulk. Because of the circular shape, it wraps perfectly around the shoulders/neck to stay put. This project is a perfect use for gradient yarn, or use a different color for each section. Choose a bright sunny color for a fun accessory, or use a deep, moody color for a more dramatic look. Since it is a quick knit and uses a small amount of yarn, you can quickly create more than one! Makes a great gift too :-)
