DESIGNER NOTE: These socks are what I like to think of as “art socks.” They have a lot of texture and will work best in loose-fitting clogs or as house socks as designed. I own several pairs of clogs and backless mules that I use to show off my “art socks” to their best advantage while keeping the textured designs from irritating my feet.

Due to the lack of stretch of the cabled twisted stitch pattern, this sock should be made with only 0-5% negative ease.

Socks are knit top down on two circular needles (or one long circular needle). Due to the nature of the stitch pattern, double pointed needles are not recommended. They can be used but will require moving stitches back and forth between needles to complete the traveling stitch design.
