Delmonico is a delicate cowl that combines rows of detailed lace “leaves” with a simple garter stitch and rib motif.

This lace just enhances the delicate, airy mood of many of the gorgeous hand-dyed colorways Kristine uses in her AVFKW yarns, but it’s distinct and geometric and won’t get lost in subtle shading or speckles. Then, the garter texture along the top of the cowl allows the subtle rustic qualities of the natural fibers that she uses to shine through as well.

This simple cowl knits up in no time and is a great use of a single skein of special yarn. It’s easily modified for size and notes are in the pattern on how to do so.

Lace is both charted and written.
