There are two versions of this design: the first is intended for use on a plastic egg form and will require inserting the form partway through and finishing with the form in place; the second version is for use on a hardboiled egg, and is removable!

Egg is sized to fit a plastic or wooden egg form or a real hardboiled egg, approximately 2 1⁄2 inches tall.

Size 3 thread may also be used to make a cover which will fit a larger plastic egg form, about 3 1⁄2 inches tall. Increase your hook size to about 2.5 mm.
