Pattern Overview:
The Deluxe cardigan is worked back and forth, starting from the bottom up in one piece to the underarms. Once at the underarms, the fronts and back are divided and worked separately, up to the lowest point of the shoulder lines. From here, the fronts and back are joined again and knitted up to the neckline, shaping the shoulder lines.

The Button Band stitches are then picked up and knitted along the fronts and back neck, worked back and forth for a clean, polished finish. The sleeves, with a flattering 7/8 length, are picked up at the underarms and knitted in the round down to the cuffs.

Difficultly level: Intermediate - Advance with experience of reading charts.

This pattern includes 3 sizes, which refer to the following bust sizing:

85-95 (95-105, 105-120) cm/ 33.5-37.5 (37.5-41.25, 41.25-47.25)” to be worn with 10 - 20 cm/ 4-8” positive ease.

Finished measurements:

Width – 55 (60, 65) cm/ 21.5 ( 23.5, 25.5)”
Length for all sizes – 60 cm/ 23.5”

Winter yarn: Drops Air (65% alpaca, 28% polyamide, 7% wool; 150m/ 164 yds per 50g); 6-7 (7-8, 8-9) balls.

Substitute Yarn:
Summer yarn: Lana Grossa Riserva (70% cotton, 30% polyamide, 125m/137 yds per 50g); 7-8 (8-9, 9-10) balls.
Winter yarn:
Lana Grossa Brigitte 2 (140 m per 50g); 7 (7-8, 8-9) balls.
Gazzal Alpaca Air (150 m per 50g); 6-7 (7-8, 8-9) balls.
Katia Concept Cotton Merino (105 m per 50g); 8-9 (9-10, 10-11) balls. Note: You may use any yarn in approximate yardage to substitute.

NEEDLES
5.5mm/ US 9 and 4.5mm/ US 7 circular needles 40 cm/16” AND 80 100 cm/32-40” length (for Lana Grossa Promessa). 4.5mm/ US 7 and 4mm/ US 6 circular needles 40 cm/16” AND 80-100 cm/32 40” length (for Drops Air).

GAUGE
18 sts & 22-23 rows = 10cm / 4” in Main pattern for Lana Grossa Promessa.
