This shrug is worked flat from cuff to cuff, then the sleeve seams are sewn up. The deep ribbed collar and border are then worked in the round. The shrug is designed to hug you when you wear it and can be
worn open or closed with a shawl pin. Tugging stitches is common when cabling, but don’t tug so much that it affects the tension of your project. After you place stitches onto the cable needle, keep them close to your knitting. Try your best to knit those stitches with the same tension that you knit the rest of the row so that your cables will lie flat and blend right into the stitches.
