The knitting kit for Den Spräckliga (The Speckled One) Pullover/Cardigan with Fully Patterned Front contains enough yarn for a pullover or cardigan up to size XL (117 cm around the chest). Knitting instructions are included for both the folded neck edge and the elastic neck edge. Pattern charts with yarn samples are included in the kit. The pattern consists of four pattern colors, all in lambswool. It is knit from the bottom up with sewn in sleeves.

The yarn is a 2-strand, 450m/100g lambswool yarn spun at Henrichsens Uldspinderi in Denmark consisting of merino wool from New Zealand and a small amount of wool from Gotland fur sheep. The wool is guaranteed mulesing-free. The pattern yarns are dyed by Pernille Silfverberg by hand to match original yarns, while the bottom of Den Spräckliga is knitted in mottled, light gray lambswool yarn that is both spun and dyed at the spinning mill.

The buttons of the original garment were approximately 13 mm in diameter and probably made of horn or similar material with four holes.
