The Devon Mariner is a cosy fisherman’s rib beanie designed for keeping the Devon mizzle at bay. Knit in John Arbon Textiles Devonia DK made from wool sourced entirely from North Devon, with a top panel inspired by the detailing on the traditional Appledore Frock (North Devon sailor’s Guernsey sweater) and a cable representing the twin rivers of the Lyn Valley, this hat is perfect for keeping fishermen dry and warm (and seen in the bright orange colour!)

It is an intermediate level pattern knit in the round with Fisherman’s Rib, cables, tubular cast on and Kitchener stitch techniques used. It is available in 3 unisex adult sizes, is reversible, with a brim that can be folded up or left flat.

Note: if substituting yarn or adding additional length, you may need an additional skein of yarn.
