Diagonal Scarf
I love this stitch, it’s really easy once you’ve got into the rhythm of it and it’s much quicker to do than you might think from the fact it is all dc stitches (US – sc stitches) and chains. I made this version in one evening. I’ve been looking for the perfect yarn for the job, and I think this is it because it shades so beautifully. However, I’ve put in how to do it with a thinner yarn, and you could change colours to make stripes, or just have the diagonals as a texture. One ball of this makes a short, thick scarf, perfect to tuck in the top of a coat – get two balls if you want a wide or long one! If you make it wider, the colour stripes will be narrower, though.
