A knitted headband to chase away winter chills in style. The headband is knitted in one piece with a rope/cable detail. Included in the pattern are three additional options not shown in the photo: a lining for extra chilly climates, a narrow neckband, and an embroidery embellishment.

To make the headband as shown in the photo, use 1 ball of Debbie Bliss Cashmerino in color Clotted Cream #065. A variety of DK yarns in Merino, Alpaca, Cashmere or Wool/Acrylic blends are recommended for this pattern. The gauge is 20 stitches and 30 rows to 4 inches.

Because it requires only 75-80 yards of yarn, this headband is perfect for using up leftovers from another project.

Full written instructions and an option chart for the cable are provided.

Equipment:
• Straight single-point knitting needles: Size 5, or size to achieve the gauge
• Cable needle
• Tapestry needle
• Stitch holder or a double-pointed needle.

Skills required: Knit, Purl, slipped stitches, basic cable stitches.
