This scarf is intricately cabled in the very traditional Aran style. The “Diamond Windows” are a result of the cable work. The one shown here was made with Lorna’s Laces Shepherd Worsted Yarn which is an ideal yarn for showing off cables to their very best. Your stitchwork will be properly shown off in the panels that are very “public” while the turtleneck will keep you warm no matter where you live. The is a scarf that is fun both to make and to wear.

Skill Level: Intermediate, assuming a good working knowledge of knitting, purling and cabling.

This pattern was professionally tested by Martha McLellan.
