The cardigan is worked top to bottom, starting with the back yoke worked with german short rows. Then stitches are picked up for both shoulder. Once the 2 fronts and the back are joined, the cardigan is worked flat until the desired length is reached.
Then the sleeve are picked up, and finally the button band is worked in ribbing.
