This is a pullover type hood with a simple diamond shaped lace pattern and ribbed neck, perfect for keeping warm on those chilly days!

I made this pattern to build up from the back, starting with a long rectangular piece and going into a horseshoe shape to finish.

The idea behind it was to create a hood without the need for sewing besides the usual tucking in of ends. In knitting the piece for a friend, I discovered the simple addition of a ribbed neck added the needed finishing touch that the original hood design lacked.
