This design is for any brand of standard gauge knitting machine. Vintage machines work fine. No special abilities on the part of the machine are required. Passap and Superba machines count amongst standard gauge machines. Notes for these are included. A maximum of 174 needles is required for the largest size.

The blouse is just below waist length on most wearers with waistline shaping. Instructions for lengthening and flaring the hips are included. Other #1-2 yarns that match gauge and create nice fabrics may be substituted. The diamond “cable” is actually a faux cable created by hand selected tuck stitch that is worked from an included chart. It’s very easy. The purl side is the right side of the garment.

Techniques that are important to the pattern are demonstrated in 11 videos. Live links are provided in the pdf. This will help newer machine knitters to succeed.

An alternate neckline and armhole trim is included.
