This is a pattern that I’ve been thinking about for years. It wasn’t until a discussion about the RS equivalent to a WS pfb, that I finally had the answer to how to make this pullover look how I wanted it to look.

It has an unusual construction. It’s worked from the top down -- starting with a doubled ribbed collar. (A provisional cast on is used in making the collar.)

It has a modified raglan design in which body increases are worked first, followed by sleeve increases. This gives the look of set-in sleeves -- without the bother. ;)

And, it has diamond patterns down the front.

Many, many thanks go to the Testing Pool Group here on Ravelry. This pattern would not have been possible without the feedback from the ladies who agreed to test knit this sweater.

Errata: The row gauge should be 22 rows per 4”.
