Such a fun summer crochet project! The main kerchief is very easy and a perfect poolside, beach or road trip project with easy stitches and virtually no counting required after your beginning chain.

Can be made using either Light Fingering (#1) weight yarn or Size 10 crochet thread. I love the thread option for this because it is readily available, inexpensive, creates a silky fabric that’s easy to clean and available in so many vibrant colors!!!

Pictures are included to help guide you with adding the stripes - and a clever little trick for working opposite crossing lines in one continuous step:)

There are NO ends to weave in with this project (you’ll simply work over them as you add the edging).

You will need 210 yds for your main color (MC) and 25 yds for your stripes and edging.

Steel crochet hook size 7 (1.65 mm) or size needed to obtain gauge.
