Its all about the color, and lots of it!
The design is worked in crochet linen stitch in 2 parts, starting in the center and worked to half the wearers actual chest measurement. Then each side edge of the section is worked to a triangle on the diagonal to make a square. Neck and shoulder shaping are added to one edge. Then the piece is repeated and sewn together at the shoulders and sides. Ribbing is added to the bottom, neck and arm holes.
I used fingering weight , super wash wool to achieve a lovely drape when I designed the tee. Any yarn can be used including cotton, linen, or silk depending on the use intended for the garment.
The gauge is determined by the wearers chest size and the size of the center section of the tee. It is unusual but easy.
I designed this tee to make the best of a long self striping yarn in combination with a solid or tonal yarn. 2 skeins of each color is recommended for best results.
I used about 800 yards of each color in fingering weight.
This will also accommodate scrap pieces or mini skeins.
