Description
The Diamond Line Top is a feminine design featuring a beautiful diamond pattern across the upper front and back, complemented by a simple eyelet pattern running down the sides of the body. The top is worked top-down, allowing you to easily adjust the length as needed. The simple edge finish ensures non-rolling hems and adds a lovely detail. The top is intended to be tight-fitting with a negative ease of 4–6 cm / 1.5–2.25 in. If you prefer a looser fit, choose a larger size.

26 sts x 34 rows = 10 x 10 cm / 4 x 4 in in pattern (chart 1), after washing and blocking.
Recommended needle size: 3.50 mm (US 4) for body and body hem; 3.00 mm (US 2½) for neckline and armhole edges.

In one strand Önling No 14 or one strand Önling No 21:
26 sts x 34 rows = 10 x 10 cm / 4 x 4 in in pattern (chart 1), after washing and blocking.
Recommended needle size: 3.00 mm (US 2½) for body and body hem; 2.50 mm (US 1½) for neckline and armhole edges.

Materials
One strand Camel / silk (50% camel / 50% silk) from A Knitters World (100 g / 437 yds):
200(200)200(200)200(300)300(300) g = 2(2)2(2)2(3)3(3) skeins.

★Note: This yarn grows approximately
3 cm / 1.25 in in length after wearing, due to the natural stretch of the silk.

or
One strand Önling No 14, 100% TENCEL™ Lyocell (50 g / ~125 yds):
300(300)350(350)350(400)450(450) g = 6(6)7(7)7(8)9(9) balls.

★Note: This yarn grows primarily in width after washing, blocking, and wearing.

or

One strand Önling No 21, 60% cotton / 40% linen (50 g / ~213 yds):
150(200)200(200)250(250)250(300) g = 3(4)4(4)5(5)5(6) balls.

★Note: This yarn has very little elasticity and will not stretch during blocking or wear. If you are between two sizes, I recommend choosing the larger one.

If you choose to knit in camel / silk, you’ll get a top with a light look. A top in Önling No 21 will have an airier appearance, while a top in Önling No 14 will result in a denser look.
