Sock recipe for lacy toe-up socks

Are you ready for spring and lace in your (knitting) life? Take these surprinsingly easy, but very delicate and delightful lace socks, and knit socks for your inner princess! If you love socks and you love lace, you’ll just love these.

The recipe is written for one size, but can be adapted easily. This particular lace pattern proves to be quite stretchy, which you might to take into consideration.

This is not a whole sock pattern, but rather a recipe to be supplemented with your favourite toe and heel. I prefer using short-row toe and heel constructions. A fabulous one can be bought on Ravelry for US $ 1.00 from the Sox Therapist: Fish Lips Kiss Heel

This is a recipe for making socks which requires some knowledge on sock construction and your preferred sizing. Some hints on sizing are given, based on my gauge and sock size.

The recipe gives hints and additional information that can be ignored if you use a different toe and / or heel construction or do not need a mini-gusset with the FLK heel.

Please note: this recipe can be knit in any method you like – DPNs, two circular needles, magic loop… However, the beginning of the round shifts after knitting the heel. You may want to consider this before starting two at a time.

Addendum:

Please note that the twisted ribbing will only align with all your k3tog (in their various forms) when you end the leg patterning on row 20. Otherwise it will only align on the side panels.
