Diamonds Forever is a modular knit top - color placement is random or knitter’s choice. Each garter stitch diamond is a mitered square worked as an individual unit. You begin by making separate diamonds that form the bottom sawtooth edge. Subsequent diamonds are joined as you pick up and knit each one. You make diamonds around the lower body/torso then separate at the armholes and work rows of diamonds with a triangle at each end to form the armhole edge. Each shoulder is formed by a row of diamonds fitted and sewn into each other from the front to the back. The v-neckline on the front and the back is trimmed in reverse single crochet.
