This delicate half-circle shaped shawl - or shawlette - starts with a classic garter tab and is worked top down. 
It comes in two sizes: a large shawl (yellow-green sample) and a smaller shawlette (blue-grey-brown sample).
The pattern is filed for lace weight yarn (you can only choose one yarn weight), but it can also be made in light fingering weight. Or in 4ply fingering weight for a smaller shawlette … See below.
Eyelet increases are made at fixed intervals every 6 or 8 rows thus increasing the width. They form subtle lines that flare out in the diamonds of the lace border. 
You can make this shawl with two or three colors as in the samples, or with only one color.
