This pattern is toe up knitted in the round. The sock features a texured stitch pattern forming 4 diamonds running up the foot and leg, hence the name. The toe is rounded and done in a contrast colour, as is the heel and part of the cuff. When knitting the cuff, its not nessary to cut the yarn when changing colours. You can carry the colour not in use up as you knit and weave it back and forth at the beginning of the round.

The heel is a bit of fun and quite easy when you get the hang of it. The great thing is you will have no loose stitches and no holes! You just need to do the figure 8 wraps to keep it snug and neat.
