This shawl/poncho was created as a gift for my cousin, Diana Black. Diana is a retired Air Force officer and one of the funniest and most intelligent women I’ve ever been blessed to know. This shawl can be worn without any lacing as a simple rectangular wrap or laced up and worn with the lacing up the front like a standard poncho or off one shoulder like a serape. It is versatile, smart and beautiful…just like Diana.

The pattern has an optional “Courtney” version that is longer. Charts are included for that version.

Both written instructions and charts are included.

Gauge is not essential to this pattern and if using the appropriate hook with the DK or Worsted weight yarn, your gauge should match yarn specifics.

Suggested Yarn:

Yarn: DK or Worsted (3 or 4) in 3 colors
Color A (2 outside panels) – approx 800 yards
Color B (center panel) – approx 400 yards
Color C (accent) – approx 200 yards

Hook size should be appropriate to the yarn used.
