Dichotomy is now available for individual sale. It is also available through your In-Store LYS sales at participating yarn shops.

Starting July 1, 2019, $2 of every purchase goes to the Beagle Freedom Project to help end animal testing.

Dichotomy was designed exclusively for Volume 1 of the DFW Designers collection and will be released to its eBook in March.

Dichotomy is a half circle shawl that gives tribute to the changing of the seasons.

With easy increases and German short rows to keep things interesting, you can choose from an i-cord or stretchy bind off at the end.

You will need at least two skeins of fingering weight yarn that comes in 420+ yd skeins.

If you are using yarn that is notoriously under-measured, or less than 400 yds a skein, you will need 2 skeins of your CC of choice or you should chose a complimentary third color for the last section.

Pattern includes pictures of all three options available and close ups of the interesting color changes between sections:

  • As written with two colors and i-cord BO using Yarn Carnival
  • Two colors Stockinette Section 6 option with the i-cord BO with Miss Babs
  • Three colors option with Jeny’s stretchy bind off in Sunshine Yarns

I am always available for questions. Please ask for help if you do not understand something. This has been thoroughly tech edited and test knit.

You do not need to print Pages 1 and 10. They are photo and pattern premise fluff. Save your ink. You care about the meat.

Read the entire pattern through before you start.

Shout out to my awesome test knitters/tech editors robinski1972 and tigger2
