Sometimes a yarn does not turn out the way you hoped, or like, or you just don’t have enough (left) for two socks. This pattern completely alters the look of the yarn, by combining it with a highly contrasting (solid) color.

The size written is a women’s M, but can be easily adapted for smaller or lager feet, either by changing the needle size or adding / distracting pattern repeats. Calculations are made for 72 stitches only, which equals a vanilla sock over 64 stitches.
The slip stitch pattern takes away some width, and a LOT of length.

You need two skeins of 50 grams of regular sock yarn (210 m/50 grams), and needles in 2 sizes. The plain parts are knit with a smaller needle because the gauge of those parts is much loser. The best effect is obtained by using a variegated or self striping yarn combined with a solid with high contrast to all colors in the contrast color.
