Different Path beanie
Textured knits can appear to be complicated, but as my Different Path Beanie proves, simplicity really can create the most beautiful textures.
Knitted in the round, the simple knit/purl pattern repeats throughout. But just as with life, small changes at the start of some rounds sees the pattern go in different directions creating this wonderful textural effect.
Easy and fun to knit, this slouchy fit beanie with its satisfying crown complements my Path Cowl pattern perfectly. But don’t skip the stitch marker at the beginning of the round so you know exactly what to do next!
The pattern calls for 160m/175yds of DK yarn (preferably one with good stitch definition) making it a great project to knit when you’re out and about or simply curled up cosy at home.
Happy Knitting!
Dimensions:
To fit 54-56cm/21-22 inch circumference
Length from brim to top 26cm/10.3in
Yarn requirement: 160m/175yds DK yarn
Needles: 4mm (UK8/US6) circular needles with 60cm cables or 4mm DPNs
Skill Level: Beginner to beyond!
Sample Yarn: I used Stylecraft Alpaca DK for the sample, but this is sadly now a discontinued yarn. I would recommend using something like Drops Lima as a substitute, but obviously feel free to use the yarn of your choice.
