I created this sock because I was looking for a new way to use my self-striping sock yarn. Rather than working all the way around, this pattern has you knit the leg in slanted sections, which are joined to each other as you go. It is written for two circular needles, and I strongly recommend you stick with those tools through the leg section. The heel and foot are worked in the conventional top-down way, so feel free to change to your favorite method.

Update 6/13/2014 - Several knitters have done the leg portion using DPNs with no issues. If reading two circulars is stopping you, don’t let it.
