Updated Pattern! You can now pick from 2 different cowl styles in one pattern. The column cowl is close to the next with 2 finishing options, both with adaptive design elements. Or break out your mini skeins and create the infinity cowl option.

Both options are worked flat. The infinity cowl is seamed along the short ends before an edging is applied to the long sides.

The column cowl has 2 finishing options:
Option 1: Crocheted loops are added to both short edges. Magnetic fasteners or buttons are added to close the cowl. Edging loops are used as button holes when buttons are used. If magnetic closures are added, the loops on the side assist in closing the cowl. Just hook fingers into the loops and pull the magnets together! This is a great option for anyone with dexterity or issues impacting hand/arm movement.

Option 2: The cowl is worked flat the same way as option 1. The cowl is seamed down the short edge by slip stitching the 2 edges together. Loops are added to that seam. The loops assist in pulling the cowl over your head. Hook fingers into the loop to pull on or off!

Yarn:
The cowl works up great in sport or fingering weight yarn. You only need a single 100g skein to make the column cowl. Pick your favorite, variegated or tonal will both look amazing.
If you want to create a wider cowl, just grab some additional yarn, you’ll need an additional 55 yards for every extra repeat of the pattern you work.
The infinity cowl is designed for use with a 12-13 skein mini set, but you can also use stash yarn or work it up in a single color!

You can wear this cowl multiple ways. Button or snap it all the way up or leave the bottom open for a cute collar vibe!
