Materials
Yarn: Shibui Pebble, 2 skeins each of colors Chestnut (color A) and Poppy (color B)

Or: about 240 yards of color A and 275 yards of color B

If substituting yarn, look for something with a similar fiber content and weight. Light fingering to laceweight yarn is perfect for this pattern. Make sure the yarn you use has at least 50% animal fiber to stretch and block properly.

If using different colors, stick with similar tones to be safe, or have fun playing with contrast if you dare!

Skills used in this pattern:
-knitting and purling
-garter tab cast on
-make one left, right and purl-wise (only once)

This shawl is constructed from the top down, beginning with just 9 stitches and growing as you work.

This pattern is suitable for advanced or assisted beginners, but will keep an advanced knitter’s attention with increases and color-play.
