This hat is the perfect excuse to try some mosaic knitting. You can make it as subtle or as bold as you want.

You will need half a skein of sock yarn for the main color, and a little bit of another color for the contrast. As little as 20 gr will be enough!

This pattern will let you use some of the leftover sock yarn we all have in our stash!

The mosaic technique is the simplest way to include some color work in your knitting and it is extremely simple, suitable for the beginner color knitter. Very little effort and a lot of bang for your buck.

The fit is quite slouchy. Use the recomended yarn or substitute for a (mostly) wool yarn that will be easy to block.
