Mitts are worked in the round on dpns to Thumb opening. An Afterthought Thumb is created using waste yarn. After Hand is complete, sts are carefully removed from waste yarn and sts are placed onto dpns. Thumb is knitted in k1, p1 ribbing.

Mitts are designed to fit most women’s hand sizes. To make a larger or smaller mitt, you can increase or decrease the cast on by a multiple of 4 sts.

For a longer mitt, add length to the beginning k2, p2 ribbing before beginning St st.
