Wrap yourself in a cloud of ombre color with the Dip and Fade Shawl! Mine is knit in a beautiful Italian blue tonal yarn from Lana Grossa called Shades of Alpaca Silk. This is a soft blend of baby alpaca and silk yarn in DK weight that does the tone changing for you. However, it would be beautiful knit in tones of any shade from your stash, and in any weight from lace through DK. I used the entire skein of 744 yards to make this shawl since I wanted to utilize all the color changes. Worked from the top down, it is crescent-shaped, and once blocked is slightly over 7 feet in length, and 22 inches at the center, deepest point. The body is a simple, easy-to-follow small lace repeat, and the border features a faux cabled lace that blocks to points. Full row counts, written instructions, and a chart for the border section are included in the pattern.
