Dipped Berry Scarf
The Dipped Berry Scarf is a twist on my Bilberry Scarf, where the i-cord edging now sculpts each side, creating an elegant edging. The garter stitch tips and berry inspired seed stitch defines the body.
This is a one skein/stash busting project that is quick to make.
The length and width of this scarf are easily modified to best match your look. The many color options and i-cord edging make for a thoughtful gift.
You will gradually increase/decrease stitches for each end, then change to a contrasting color for the body. The tips are knit with garter stitch and body is knit with seed stitch, giving the scarf some texture.
The sample is shown knit in a fingering weight yarn, with larger needles, making for an airer texture and lighter scarf. If you knit with a heavier weight yarn, your scarf will be wider and thicker, perfect for cooler days.
The sample size is 4”x57” (10cmx145cm) after blocking
You may use the suggested needle size for your given yarn or go up one size to create a looser texture.
