This Dirt roads and blue jeans shawl is a reflection of all the things I love in knitting and being in the country, from the relaxed feeling on a Sunday afternoon, the quiet walks on a dirt road, and the wind blowing the corn and wheat in the fields. This I have used as a canvas to play with techniques, shapes, and color. Enjoy playing with eyelets, color changes, and your favorite yarns.
I added a sparkle section to the end to emphasize the morning dew on the wheat fields.
The shawl is an irregular triangular shawl, starting at the most pointed end and growing differently on each side.
Suitable for any level of knitter

FINISHED MEASUREMENTS
The final measurements are 125” along top wingspan and 27” center to tip after blocking. There is a curve to the wingspan.

MATERIALS
I used 3 skeins Lolodidit “Everyday sock” (75% Superwash Merino Wool 25% Nylon 100g, 463 yards)(1 skein of each). I did use a very small amount of a second ball of the color whatever it is colorway but many of my test knitters stated they did not 1 of each color was fine.
I used colors: 1) Whatever it is(blue with rust, green and cream)
2) Bourbon(rust)
3) Bourbon in “sparkle sock” (rust)
Needles: US 5 (3.75 mm) needles.
Other notions: Tapestry needle, stitch markers, a split ring st marker, blocking pins or wires.
GAUGE
23st and 40rows = 4” in garter st after blocking
