Disco Bunny

This shawl was designed for my twin sister’s birthday in 2021. It combines the soft and cosy chainette yarn with a little bit of sparkle. My sister persuaded me to release the pattern so that others can share in the Disco Bunny love!

Yarn Requirements: 3 x 50 g balls of Drops Sky (190m per 50g) and 1x 25g ball of King Cole Cosmos (393m per 25g)
Sample was knit using Drops Sky in Pearl Grey (02) and King Cole Cosmos in Starburst (1100)
Note: Drops Sky is a DK yarn but due to its chainette construction has a longer meterage for 50 g than a classic DK. There are several similar yarns on the market if Drops is not an option for you. Of course, you can knit the shawl with a standard DK yarn (or a sport weight) but it would probably require double the quantity stated. One of my testers used merino DK and required 600m of yarn.
Needles: US 5/3.75 mm (circular needles recommended to accommodate the large number of stitches)
Notions: tapestry needle
Gauge: 22 sts and 28 rows for 10 cm/4” in pattern after blocking
Measurements: wingspan 162.5 cm/65” depth 70 cm/28”
