Dish Mat is a very simple pattern—almost like a big swatch you can dry dishes on.

It’s made from two strands of Knitpicks Simply Organic Sport yarn held and knit together.

Materials:
About 400 yards/366 meters of Knitpicks Simply Organic Cotton Sport, knit with two strands held together
1 24” circular needle in US7-8/4.5-5.0mm, or size needed for gauge, used to work flat
Crochet Hook—Size H-I/5-.55mm or as needed
Tapestry needle

Gauge:
Gauge is 18 sts and 34 rows over 4”/10cm, in pattern, after working braids, blocked. Gauge isn’t too essential for this project—the aim is a thick, absorbent fabric with enough substance to support the braid technique—but for best results, please be sure to check your gauge.
