When it’s too hot to knit scarves and hats, here is an ebook of patterns for a summer of dishcloths, doilies, and coasters. ☀️ These are fun (and addictive!) circular patterns you can make on any 3/8” gauge knitting loom. The ebook contains six patterns in total: 2 coasters, 2 dishcloths, and 2 doilies.

These projects are all knit on the same gauge loom and all follow a similar construction. They are all knit using short rows of garter ridges (one row u-knit + one row purl = garter ridge) to create “wedges” and a group of wedges together creates a circular fabric. You then take the long tail and sew the cast on edge and the bind off edge together.

Loom: 3/8” gauge loom with a minimum of 21 pegs

Yarn: worsted weight 4 cotton yarn
Coasters - approximately 30-35 yards.
Dishcloths - approximately 50-55 yards.
Doilies - approximately 60-75 yards.

Finished Sizes:
Coasters = 4.5” diameter
Dishcloths = 7-8” diameter
Doilies = 9-10” diameter

Due to the short row construction, these patterns are suitable for an intermediate loom knitter.
