This pattern marked its debut at 2012’s Vogue Knitting Live in New York City. The scrubby, long-lived texture results from the slip stitch and garter stitch foundation of the mosaic technique combined with Allhemp6.

Mosaic knitting involves alternating strands of yarn; just one strand is used for two rows at a time. Garter and slipped stitches define the background and motif areas.

Lana Knits Designs hempforknitting allhemp6 yarn (in a variety of colors) is ideally suited for the kitchen and bath. In addition to hemp’s anti-microbial quality, this easy care fiber can go into the washer and dryer.

This pattern will yield up to 4 cloths from 2 skeins. As long as the contrasting and main colors contrast well, the pattern will reveal itself. The pattern provides written instructions with (optional) charts for making useful household linens and gifts.

This pattern is also available at Lanaknits Designs.
