District 12 is cold, and coated with coal dust from the mines. The people are hungry and poor, and only the resourceful survive. If Katniss were here, I think she’d approve of the versatility of these fingerless mitts/armwarmers/sleeves-without-a-sweater. Pull ‘em down over your fingers for warmth, push ‘em up for climbing trees. Wear them scrunched or long, with the “arrow” in the palm of your hand or along the side of your forearm, it’s totally up to you. Just don’t knit them too bright…you don’t want to attract the attention of the Capitol.
