Meaning flowers in Scottish Gaelic, Dìtheanan is a simple and fun sock covered with a scattering of little flower motifs from toe to cuff! The pattern looks stunning in solid, semi-solid or (my favourite) speckled yarn. Knit from the toe up with a gusset and heel flap the socks have flexible length fitting in both the foot and the leg. Dìtheanan is a great mix of relaxing knit and engaging pattern – perfect for travel knitting or chilling with a film!

The pattern is fully written with charts for the lace and twisted rib and has been tech-edited and test knitted. There’s a screenshot of the knitting pattern and a list of the stitches used at the bottom of the photos. You will also need to know how to do a double-sided cast-on like Judy’s Magic Cast-On and a stretchy bind-off like Jeny’s Surprisingly Stretchy Bind-Off.
