DK Beret is worked from the bottom up. Pattern is written for DK weight or fingering weight yarn held double. This pattern accommodates 3 kinds of gauges (19&29, 21&28, and 18&26) and features 3 sizes for each gauge respectively. In addition, there are 2 styles of the band. So, please choose your own combination and knit your favorite Beret!
The top of the hat is finished flat thanks to the very smooth decreasing.
The Ribbed Band is easier to knit compared to the Folded Band and requires less yarn, too.
Please note that yarn requirements are approximations and will vary depending on the yarn and gauge you choose.
