Knit with 6.5mm (US 10.5) knitting needles and scraps of bulky/chunky/12 Ply yarn, the bow tie, is a great pattern for any knitters.

The bow tie is created by knitting a striped rectangle and then weaving strands of yarn through the knitted fabric.
