If you’re concerned about your dog’s head getting cold in the winter months, I’ve got a great pattern for you to try!

I did not include a specific pattern as every dog’s head is shaped differently. What worked for my dog, may not work for your own. However, I have included all of the measurements needed to knit this hat as well as how to use those measurements to knit your own hat!

My advice is to take as accurate of measurements as possible and go slow. This pattern works up surprisingly quickly but can also be frustrating if you go quick and have to undue your work.

Finally, I recommend using a yarn that you would use for baby garments. I really like Red Heart’s Baby Hugs medium, but if that is unavailable to you, then use another yarn for babies. This is because dog’s skin can be sensitive, and you don’t want to irritate their skin with a scratchier yarn.

If you decide to knit one up, take a picture and send it to me or tag me on instagram (@knitting_with_sara)! I love seeing everyone’s dogs! If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me! Happy knitting!
