Dog Hood
Made to fit our 40lb rescue Hound from the Deep South, who hasnt adjusted to our Canadian winters. This is a good way to use up left over yarns.

Beginning with a knit row, increase 9 stitches evenly spaced across next row (55) stitches.
Purl next row. Continue with stockinette stitch. On 20th row, knit 17 stitches & place these on a stitch holder. Turn work, knit till last 17 stitches & place these stitches on a stitch holder too. Turn work.
Slip one stitch from stitch holder to centre needle ,then K2tog (or purl, depending on row). Work the rest of the row, slipping one stitch from the other stitch holder onto centre needle. K2tog (or purl). Turn work.
Continue slipping one stitch & working 2tog at each end of the needle, on each row, until all spare stitches have been used.
